Biggest Scam Of 2018?
You may have heard of Wealthy Affiliate, the online platform where people try and make money as affiliate marketers. And you may have checked out the reviews for this platform. And what you may have read is many people think that it’s just a brainwashed website that instructs it’s members to write fake reviews on other online programs and calls them out as being frauds. You may have read that the way Wealthy Affiliate works is by getting people to sign up and in a few months they get discouraged and then just quit and the guys who run the thing don’t care because they got the membership fees for a few months. And you may have read that Wealthy Affiliate got sued in 2015. That’s true too. They were.
So, why do people bother to join the company if it’s such a rip-off? Because they get lured in by the idea of easy money with minimal effort that’s why. And when they don’t make money in a month or two they quit. Then they call it a scam.
Most people who join Wealthy Affiliate seem to give up at the six-month time frame. It seems to be just the way it is with the company. They sign up for the Premium membership, figure they will try it out for size and then in a few months, poof they are history. Down the road.
How do I know all this 411 on Wealthy Affiliate? Because I have been a member for 3 years now. And I have seen a ton of people come and go. I have figured it out why they do this too. They have no patience and don’t want to put in the hard work to see it through. And I’m going to try not to dig on the under 35 generation but it seems like many of them want what they want and want it now. They don’t want to get down in the trenches and work hard at succeeding. They just want a quick buck and out of moms house living the good life.
I’m here to tell you, that will never work no matter what you try in life. You can’t cut corners. You’ll end up broke and living like a bum. Or worse you’ll end up in prison. Because hard work is something that comes from within. It’s the drive that gets you up in the morning. The drive that gets you telling yourself that yes, you can and will succeed.
Why Listen To Me?
I’ve been down the road of hard knocks. I won’t bore you but I will tell you the truth. I’m 55 years old now. I have a son and a wife and this life has given me some tough lessons. Dad comitted suicide when I was 17 and I went and joined the Marine Corps. I did my time and got out and ended up homeless because my family was pretty much non-existent and I had trouble adapting to civilian life. I managed to get jobs though and an apartment and eventually after another three-year stint in the Navy reserves I started to settle down. By then I was working in a freezer all night stocking frozen food in 22 degrees. It sucked but I kept at it. Finally, I got divorced and went back home to San Diego and was pretty much burned out by my early thirties.
In 1998 I started working as an electrical apprentice and kept at it, completed four years and got my journeyman card. I worked commercial electrical work for 10 years.
Then I got hit with another nightmare. I caught menengitis and almost died. The girl in the next room did pass away and was only 24. My point is that through all the b.s. life threw at me I knew that the only way to succeed at anything was to not give up. And joining Wealthy Affiliate three years ago really changed my way of looking at my life and realizing that I could do anything I put my mind to. Why? Because I had been down some tough roads but always managed to bounce back.
My thinking is those who join the platform and quit haven’t had enough hard knocks in life. They are still living in a trance either dreaming of a future that will just show up and 30 years old living at their parent’s house. Or they are just plain lazy, depressed, jaded or all of the above. Of course, those who are disabled are excluded from this list. I have immense compassion for those who struggle with illnesses and disabilities. Because I suffer from one too. The post effects of menengitis.
Why Join Wealthy Affiliate And Is It The Scam Of 2018?
Listen. I don’t b.s. you here. I won’t tell you it’s a walk in the park and anyone can make it. They can’t. It’s like the Marine Corps. I was a scrawny 17-year-old when I went in. I weighed 135 pounds. I was yelled at by the drill instructors because my home was 2 miles from MCRD training in San Diego and they wanted me to quit. They said just jump the fence, you’ll be home in a half hour. I didn’t quit and went on to get an honorable discharge.
I look at Wealthy Affiliate and all those people who call it a scam the same way. They can’t hack it. They are negative and weak. They may even be living in momma’s basement. Who knows. But, in three years I have built a website I am proud of. I worked hard at in and now it’s making me money. Not a ton but it is making money. Anyone can do it but they have to take it seriously and work hard. And keep going when the going gets tough. Otherwise, I don’t suggest even bothering to join.
You came to this page for some reason. Maybe you were checking out Wealthy Affiliate and figured you would look to see if it’s a scam or the real deal. I don’t know. But for those who believe everything anyone says, I say you’re the one who is brainwashed. Check out Wealthy Affiliate for yourself. If you think you can make a decent website then go for it. I did. You can too. Or you can sit and home dreaming about that fairy tale life that doesn’t exist. Your choice.
