If you have been blogging for any length of time you come to realize that SEO while an important aspect of any successful blog has become much easier to use. Back in the day there were steps you had to manual take to get SEO working on your website.

Now, it’s a snap to incorporate on your website with a simple plugin.

IS SEO Really Necessary?

When I began blogging I really didn’t understand the importance of SEO. I didn’t even know how it all worked. So, when I finally began to understand the importance of it I used it to get my website optimized the best I could.

But, I didn’t go through a bunch of training to manual do this. Using the SEO tools on my blogging platform I simply installed the SEO plugin and forgot about it. Over time I began to see how it helped my site rank in the search engines and that was what I was looking for.

What Works For Newbie Bloggers?

Granted I may be a bit partial because the platform I use is probably the easiest to use when it deals with SEO for newbie bloggers. It’s not that I’m lazy, I just had a difficult time really grasping the concept of how SEO works.

I say whatever works best for you is what you should go for. SEO doesn’t have to be confusing and hopefully the video above can help clarify some things for you.

I personally like using a plugin or all in one SEO tool that does everything in one swoop. I also like to have my hosting and domain under one roof so to speak.

And I like using the WordPress platform that’s easy to blog on and understand. But when people ask me what is the best blog software SEO I usually say I use a plugin and forget

SEO can be very intimidating for newbies, but it’s so easy if you learn everything in the right time, if you keep jumping through the Google search results you will always get confused by the information overload.

I maintain a website and I rely on the use of a plugin for my SEO needs as well. You’re right, it does make it so much easier to just focus on your content. But I think it’s also important to learn about SEO, especially if you’re a solo webmaster. It may take some time, but like you say”the more you do something, the better you get”. I’ve been learning SEO for about 5 months now and it seems I’m learning something new every day. Thanks for the article, it was a good read. Really nice looking website too!

    • Thanks Rob! Yea, I admit I was never too good at the SEO thing and I still keep learning about it, at least how it works. Back a few years ago it was a bit more difficult to figure out so I’m glad now you can just use a plugin. Do you find that learning more about how SEO works makes it easier to write your blogs? I know that writing the blogs probably requires some basic knowledge of SEO but I’d like to find out how others use it to write better content. Thanks for your comment and I wish you success in all you do!

    • Thanks Susan. I hope it helped you. Did you get an idea of what’s the best way to go about being consistent with your blog? I like to hear about other bloggers stories myself as it helps me to get an idea of how other people go about writing and staying the course. Thanks so much for your comment Susan!
