Pick The Right Platform!

Another important step to blogging is to pick the right platform to blog on. In my personal experience I have run into some pretty shady outfits that pay as low as $3.00 for a 500 word article and they were very strict about the writing quality. All I see there is a nickle and dime content mill that could care less about their writers. You will know if you run into one of these. They are usually sites that have horrible English speaking contacts and are very short and not the friendliest folks. You want to avoid these writing mills like the plague!

Also when you choose a platform to write on be sure they pay decent. Even if you are beginning out you should be able to find a blogging platform that offers a decent pay. When I started out on Fiverr.com I wrote 500 words for $5.00. Minus the $1.00 they took for themselves at Fiverr I took away $4.00. Not great but definitely a way to make a quick $4.00 for about 20-30 minutes of my time. Plus on Fiverr you can build up your reputation and when you do this you will get more clients.

Blog For Yourself

Here is a way to make money as a blogger. You simply create your own website and blog for yourself. There are a number of ways you can do this but the best I have found is by selling products or services on your website. It’s pretty easy to do. You find a platform, build a website and add affiliate links from sites like Amazon.com. Then you simply write about the products on your website. It’s an easy way to earn as a blogger but keep in mind there is a lot of competition in this field and you will have to pick a niche you can find that has low competition.

To do this you can use sites like Go Daddy and find the hosting and domain and then get a site builder and go to work. Go to Amazon Associates and sign up as an advertiser and start your blogging empire. Or you can get access to all of the training to become an affiliate marketer and blogger plus the site builder, domain and hosting all in one package HERE.

Develop A Passion For Blogging!board 2433982 340 - What Are Some Good Paid Blogging Jobs?

Probably the thing that turns people off from becoming a full time blogger is that they want to make money quick. And when that doesn’t happen they quit. Build a reputation with whatever platform you use whether it’s Fiverr.com or Constant Content or whatever. And keep going on it. Develop your writing skills and be passionate in your writing. It will show in the long run.

Also don’t let fear take hold and put you in a state of panic. There are many successful bloggers that get writers block and were hesitant at first. Don’t be! Dive right in no matter what your skill level is. I have seen people who could barely write English give it a try. I wouldn’t suggest that but if you can write half way decent even if it’s like my style in this article I say give it a go. (I’m not the best writer I’ll admit)

I hope this little blog inspires you to start or keep blogging. The platforms I mentioned are great places to start your blogging career. All you have to do is go for it!

Here’s to your success!

  1. Great post! I know plenty of people looking to make extra money and if they are into writing this gives them lots of options to write and make some money.

Personally, I like the affiliate marketing gig you mentioned. It’s a much better way of controlling your own destiny – and that way you can start a blog on a subject you want to write about!

  2. I can remember the beginning of just getting started in blogging. Oh, the fear I had. Would they like my writing, will I make any money, will I last?

Hi David. Thank you for writing this post. It brought back some memories. As you can see, I got over my fears of writing and being my own boss.

In the beginning, it was hard getting started. I was clueless, but after research and learning, I’m doing just fine.

I don’t know how many times I almost gave up, but I’m glad I didn’t.

If I can give all the new people to blogging my personal advice, I tell you to never give up. It’s going to be hard work that pays off for those with patience. One of the thing I still do 3 years in, research everything I am going to write about. Then I share it with you. Like what David has done here.

Great post, David. Contact me if I can backlink to it. It’s content like this that’s worth sharing.

    God bless you.

    1. Thanks so much Lenard! I will say that it’s worth doing if you are at a crossroad and want to learn something new. Consistency and dedication definitely pay off in this industry. I wish you all the success in life!

  3. I want to start blogging and choose a topic which I am passionate about but I am not sure whether it would be lucrative or not. How can I determine it? Do you have experiences about it?

    1. Honestly, you never know if your niche will be lucrative. It depends on your writing skill, how well you present your products or services and how dedicated you are to learning and implementing. Nothing is promised and it depends on your efforts. Personally I blogged for two years before seeing decent results. Some see these results faster but it’s really up to you. I hope that helps!
