Make Things Happen!

Have you ever wanted to start a blog for profit? Do you know how to go about doing this? I tried for years to make money blogging and it wasn’t until I learned a few tricks of the trade before I really started making any money. The first thing I learned was to have patience. Because without patience you will  probably end up giving up and calling it a day. But, in my case I was determined to find a way to earn an income as a blogger and after a few years I finally succeeded. What did I do? I joined a platform that taught me all I needed to know. Check this article on a review of the platform I used to find success.

Starting a blog is the easy part. Writing continually will be the hard part especially if you don’t see any type of return for months on end. The best way is to find a niche you like and are passionate about and keep on writing and learn how to promote your blog until something clicks. That will be in the form of your first commission which I have to say is a pretty good feeling. But you don’t have to push to succeed so much as working a nine to five job where you’re expected to show up on time, work 8 hours and then get your check every week or two. No, this is way of running your own business and learning how to succeed as a marketer and blogger. Starting a blog for profit is easy but the hard part will be you sticking it out which I know you can do. You just have to believe in yourself!

What Have You Found Success In Life At?

Happy Woman

This is a question I’d like you to ask yourself even if you are in a slump, strapped for cash and don’t know where to turn. What is it that you have found success at? Have you graduated high school or college? Worked a job for more than a year? Been a parent? Learned a new skill like art or a sport you like?  Any of these are accomplishments you can be proud of.

When picking a niche to blog about you can look back on some of your accomplishments and gain some self confidence from these successes. The same will apply to blogging. The only difference is with blogging you will be on your own and not have someone else looking over your shoulders. Getting the motivation and dedication to write on your blog will be your responsibility alone but I believe you can do it if you set a schedule and follow through daily.

Take a look at this blog. It’s been online going into my  third year and I haven’t stopped yet! How did I do it? The same as you will if you pick blogging as a new journey in your life. You just have to say to yourself that you can do whatever you put your mind to and keep going, even when you feel like giving up. Learn affiliate marketing and blogging and that is what will push you to keep going.

Probably the most common thing I hear is most programs online designed to help people make an income online are scams. While there are a ton of them out there on the market it’s important to realize that many of them are legitimate yet are still called scams. Why is that? Because most people give up before they see any results. That’s the reality. If you are going to blog for a living make sure you know what you are getting into and if you are told it will take work. If you run into something that looks too good to be true I would be willing to bet it is a scam. So steer clear!

I hope you will look around this site and check out some of the hundreds of blogs I have written for newbie bloggers. I am sure some of them will resonate with you and my hope is at least a few can give you some helpful tips. I have been doing this for a few years and have learned through trial and error. I will say that you will get out of blogging what you put into it. If you don’t have the time or patience to see results then maybe a nine to five is best for you. I would rather be honest then tell you it’s all gravy and you will make a killing in a few short months. Dedicate yourself and you can blog for profit online!

Here’s to your success!

Do you have any tips on how to tell a scam from a legitimate program?

    • Dave says:

Usually if they press you to pay up front or have no testimonials. Check reviews and check the Rip Off report.

Hi, one thing I can definitely confirm is the fact that making money with a blog takes time.
I love the work of writing blogs and sharing tips with the world but to have a lot of people see my work is not easy.
I too think that a great percentage of new bloggers never get an authority because they give up on the way.
Starting from scratch as Mrs or Mr nobody to being well known in the branch takes a lot of time and hard work.
Thank’s for sharing and all the best to you.

It’s not easy which is why so many fail. They think they will be rich in a year if they write a few blogs and do some paid promotions. Nothing could be further from the truth. It takes a boatload of work and if you aren’t ready to write for a couple years and work on your site, you are wasting your time.

As somebody having a blog myself, it’s always good to be reminded to have a patience.
Building something from scratch always take time.
All the good things in life happen slowly.
Thank you for this post, I’ll keep checking up for more!

Hi Dave, TYour post was so well written and easy to follow. It is all down to sticking to the teaching and keep writing and then one will succeed. Thank you so much for setting this all out so clearly. All the best, Jill

  6. Great details in the information. I was definitely educated. You have a nice easy way of blogging that makes things easy to read, most appreciated.

You pointed out many causes of people failing, but then gave something positive to help, I like that! It’s always easier to be negative in this world, so a positive instructor is a great change!

    Hi Dave,
This post totally resonates with me. I have been blogging for a year and I found that my main problem when I started was patience and not considering blogging as a business in general.
Blogging is a business. And as any other business, you need patience and at least a year for it to start making money. Why? It takes time to grow your website and fill it up with valuable content and for people to start trusting your advice and recommendations.
Patience. That is a big one. Most of the affiliate marketing educational websites tell you that is an easy money to make. Quit your boring 9-5 job and sit comfortably in your chair at home and earn money. Is it true? It is true for the part of staying at home and able to work from any place where there is the Internet. But it is work, and you will need to spend an amount of time to write, communicate with your audience, promote your website in social media. And the success will not come to you overnight. It takes time.

    • True Anna. unfortunately it’s also the reason most and from what I have heard 95% quit before they even really get started. Its frustrating but if you look at it as something that is fun it’s much easier. I don’t let myself get overwhelmed by it. If I want to write a blog I research keywords and just write it. Put on some music and just do it. It’s not for everyone and that’s why I try and let people know what to expect and not sugar coat stuff. Thanks for the comment!

Many do not realize that they can blog. It is because they don’t believe in their own skill to communicate. Reading others in articles and posts sometimes seems as if that person is so much more learn-ed than ourselves,(quite erudite) but most of us just need practice to be able to write effectively. That and research. It takes patience and practice. I guarantee your second 10 blogs will improve from your first ten.

    Hi Dave

Great article and so glad it focuses on the important point, that hard work and real dedication is required to keep motivated. The great same is that many people walk away just before the success starts.

Thanks for sharing! Anything worthwhile takes work and getting through the rough days and doubts can make or break you. I agree that if you blog about something you love, you can see it as a creative outlet or hobby. Then when you make a profit, it’s the icing on the cake!

    Hi Dave
I love the fact that you honestly pointed out that blogging will require hard work but you are sure to make profit with. You can make a full time living with it – all this depends on the time and effort you put in plus your patience.
I usually advise folks that when starting a blog, make a duty to follow your niche area and exert effort towards your niche market where you have passion and lots of ideas in order to stand the test of time. Adding affiliate marketing to your blog also helps the profitability of your niche website.

Thank you Dave for this information

Dave, your words and all those in the comments you have received, certainly point out that determination and patience are the way to go.

I have found in all that I have done in both my previous off & on-line work require exactly the same two items.

In many ways I think people take up the internet to try and avoid having the determination and patience. They think everything will or should be handed to them on the proverbial platter. They don’t realise that nothing worthwhile in life is free and easy.

I am forever seeing people who have been on-line for mere days. Their first question is help me build my website, obviously made before they actually look at what’s offered within the training site. It’s no wonder so many are able to be scammed.

    Good information presented here.

Keep up the good article writing.

    Ciao
    Helen

    • Blogging is not for everyone I’ll admit but it is for those who can see down the road and want to build a future in this digital economy. It’s important to not take things personal and find enjoyment in the process too. I think a lot of people miss that aspect. I appreciate the comment and you made some valid points about the mindset in the industry. Thank you.
