words 416435 340 - Why Blogs Fail. My Unique PerspectiveWHY BLOGS FAIL

Ask anyone who blogs for a living why they do it the answer may be ” Why Not?” I often get asked why I blog and why blogs fail and what can they do so their blog is successful. My answer is usually not what they want to hear but it’s the truth.

Blogs fail because of the writer and nobody else. Sure they may have picked an unpopular niche or maybe they just don’t know how to write engaging content, but it’s usually the writers fault.

My answer to why blogs fail is because nobody finds any usefulness out of them. Take this blog website for instance. I have written tons of blogs and have included a lot of tips for newbie bloggers but had I written just one blog, my site would of failed. And there are I’m sure many of my blogs that just don’t really drive a lot of traffic to them. But, collectively they have made this blog site successful.

I tell people to go slow when blogging, have a plan and keep trying when one thing doesn’t work. It’s all trial and error. (more…)

Increase Your Mental Health Blogging

Is it possible that blogging can improve your health?

In a day where many especially in the United States are looking at retiring, some of these people may have some cognitive loss or may be suffering from depression.

Why it is may be due to years past and as we age we naturally lose some of the abilities we once had. And cognitive skills may be the first to go. (more…)

Sick Of Blogging?

Forget Blogging!

Ok, most of us who blog probably wonder at times, why the heck am I doing this blogging thing? Why aren’t I seeing conversions on my site? Why do I feel like I’m wasting my time? If you’re asking yourself those questions, I would consider reevaluating your reasoning for blogging. Maybe you are wasting your time and maybe you shouldn’t be a blogger. Yea, I know it’s pretty in your face but think about it. What’s your motivation to blog for an income? Wouldn’t it be easier to just get a real job and build your reputation with a real company that actually pays every week with benefits? I mean blogging? Really? Isn’t that what kids do?

Wasting More Time?

IS Your Blogging A Waste Of Time?

If you’re wondering or thinking you’re just blogging into oblivion maybe you’re doing something wrong. I mean if you’re not seeing results, doing the same thing over and over again then you may as well be writing on a wall in a public bathroom on the beach. Yes, it’s easy to feel like maybe you are going mad writing blogs that just seem to be published into cyberspace with little chance anyone will ever bother looking at them. And that’s a reality. So, maybe you shouldn’t be a blogger. Go get a real job!

Reevaluate!

Rethink!

Ok, of course I’m kidding here. I just wanted to wake you up a bit and try and let you see that maybe you need to change things up a bit before you continue blogging. Let me ask a question. Are you blogging about a particular product or niche? Is that product something of value or is something anyone could get via the internet or at Walmart? Seriously. If you are offering nothing of value your blogs are going to be a complete waste of time. So, consider looking at your product and think of whether or not this is something people really want or not. Chances are if you aren’t getting any hits your product sucks. Yea, probably does.

How’s Your Writing?

typewriter 1424167 - Why You Shouldn't Be A Blogger!

How’s You’re Writing?

On the other hand if you have a decent product take a look at your content. Does it flow and read easily or is it a sea of words that runs on like a waterfall of alphabet soup? If it does then your writing sucks and you have to work on that. Hopefully you can see where I’m going with this blog. If you’re asking yourself why you aren’t successful think about asking yourself if your writing and products are up to par.

Change It UP!

Now, if all of your ducks are in a row and you’re still not seeing the results you would want or think you should be getting, consider the platform you are using. Are you using the training provided on how to use keywords in your blog post? Are you using too many ads? Is your content at around 750 to 1500 words per post? Are you making the most of your plugins if you’re using Word Press? All of these could be factors as to why your blog isn’t getting results. So, think about that before you throw in the towel and start believing you shouldn’t be a blogger. Because if you’re doing all the right things then you should still be in the game.

Time IS Your Friend!

Time Is Your Friend!

Lastly, how long have you been blogging? One month? One year? More? I would suggest you keep going for at least a year or two before giving up. If after that time you aren’t seeing results, have a professional marketer look at your blog and let you know where you are failing. It could just be something small and an easy fix. Whatever you do, don’t quit until you have given your blog time to mature and you have learned what you think is a good amount of info on blogging and marketing. Being a blogger for an income is something that takes time, patience and changing things up a bit to see results. And that is what blogging is all about, trial and error.
