Wealthy Affiliate Scam Or Not?
I guess it’s time to share my thoughts on something I have been asked a few times since I have been blogging on this site.
That’s “Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not?” So, I’m going to try and answer that question and explain why I think some people think this program is a scam while others don’t.
First off you’ll want to know what is the Wealthy Affiliate?
As simply as I can put it, this program basically teaches you how to write content designed to sell products and gives you the tools to learn how to market that product.
Simple huh? So, why is it that some people call this thing a scam while others think it’s the best thing going on the net as far as online revenue making programs goes?
It’s Very Simple Really
And it’s so simple because for some the light turns on while others stay in the dark!
My meaning is some people get it and succeed while others don’t and quit and call it a scam.
Those who call the Wealthy Affiliate a scam truly do believe it is a scam. They may have tried to build their website through the platform and even gone through some of the courses but it all didn’t click for them.
Some don’t even get that far and if they aren’t making a boatload of cash in the first couple weeks they call scam on it all.
As a member of the Wealthy Affiliate for a year I know the lessons and training videos as well as the website builder work but you have to keep writing regularly for it all to come together.
And that means you have to stop reading, stop studying and actually get down to business and write. When people ask me is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not I say you be the judge.
Because each individual will have a different experience with the program.
If you work hard, go through the lessons, engage in the forums and learn you will succeed. If you do only one of those above you will not.
It takes a lot of work and determination to find success as a blogger and marketer and I’ll be the first to let you know it’s hard. Some succeed but most fail.
Is The Wealthy Affiliate Worth It?
That has to be the most ridiculous question I have ever heard but for whatever it’s worth I’ll answer as best I can.
First off, is anything really worth what some say it is?
Are cigarettes worth 10.00 a pack? Not if they are killing you yet some people still buy them at this cost.
Are designer clothes worth what they say they are in Beverly Hills? Probably not but some people think they are and buy them anyway.
Is an education worth $49.00 a month that teaches you everything you need to learn about online blogging and marketing?
Not if you don’t take advantage of the training and actually learn something.
That’s what I tell people when they ask me is the Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not because if you don’t get down to business and learn and implement what is being taught in the program it may not be worth it. Check out this Utube video I made on the program here.
Why I Stuck The Wealthy Affiliate Out
I’ll tell you why I stuck the Wealthy Affiliate out and you can decide for yourself if you think it’s worth it.
I am a retired electrician who ended up on the disabled list a few years ago. I was also a Marine back in the 1980’s. At the age of 46 I was pretty well burned out from overwork and not being good to myself.
When it all crashed down I still had a family that supported me. And I still had a disability check. Not enough to do much but it is better than nothing.
So, I found the Wealthy Affiliate and began to go through their training and started writing on this blog website. Now, at a year it has aged to perfection and is now getting good regular traffic.
The Wealthy Affiliate is more like my support system which gives me updated training, support from members and a platform I can really hone my writing skills on. Plus the marketing tips I have learned will stay with me forever.
Can Anyone Succeed At The Program?
No. I say this because you really need to have patience and be able to see the big picture at the end of working hard for months and possibly a year or two.
In an instant gratification society that’s a lifetime!
So, if you fall into the need now category I would click away now because the Wealthy Affiliate isn’t for you.
But, if you’re the type that’s motivated, can work hard even when you just don’t want to bother and can see the long term effects of continued efforts that it may be for you.
I won’t life being a successful blogger and marketer take time. You have to keep writing. You have to keep learning. And you have to consistently be consistent.
If you can do that then it may be worth it to sign up with Wealthy Affiliate. If not you may keep on asking is “Wealthy Affiliate A Scam Or Not?”
