What’s Igloo? It’s a platform where you can build your website and get all the marketing and fine tune stuff worked out. The way it looks, you just pick one of their website templates and poof, you build a website in a matter of minutes.

One thing I know about building a website that’s designed to make money is that none of this happens overnight. Affiliate marketing is the big topic these days and if you have even remotely checked out what it’s all about, you get what I’m saying. So, without boring you to death let’s take a look at Igloo.

Igloo

At first glance Igloo looks pretty cool. Granted it’s somewhat cookie cutter of so many other website creation platforms I have seen but honestly, it looks pretty professional. I can tell a lot of time and effort went into the development.

What do they offer? With Igloo they offer sales funnels, websites, subscription websites and WordPress plugins. I assume they are using Word Press to allow users to build out their websites. Not bad but as you know, Word Press is free.

They also look to be promoting some of the normal apps used in building sites.

Basically Igloo is a way to build a website and I’m fairly sure you will be in the affiliate marketing business with this. It’s not bad if you know where to go after you build the website. And having been an affiliate marketer for almost five years, I can safely say that affiliate marketing takes a lot of work. Sure you’re not having someone over your shoulder all day at a desk but you need to be motivated to do more than just build the website and sit and wait for the big cha ching. That’s not how the industry works.

First off, new websites usually fall way back in the pack regardless of what your niche is. But that’s ok, because building a successful website takes time and effort. You got that though hopefully.

What is Igloo going to do for you? It’s going to give you a good platform to start your own business. Sure, you will have to work like creating content and being consistent with updating your site and doing some marketing but it’s not a bad platform from what I can see.

And it has just a one time cost for basic members of $87.00. Not too bad.

Igloo also has site support and some training too so you’re not left in the dark. What that training includes I am not entirely sure but it should at least get you going in the right direction. I do like the fact that they have a site support but you have to sign up to see if this is a good fit for you.

Since I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for a few years I don’t normally write reviews on other platforms that relate to affiliate marketing. I may be doing one every week or two but in my honest opinion, for the price, Igloo looks promising. I really don’t see anything wrong with it or actually have anything bad to say about the platform.

My only concern would be the training or tutorials they offer. When I joined Wealthy Affiliate back in January 2016 I was clueless but I learned everything I know from the tutorials and videos on the platform I use. And that’s important especially if you’re new to affiliate marketing.

Check out my Wealthy Affiliate review and compare Igloo to what I currently am a member of. There are pros and cons to both but the end goal is for you to run a successful website. I think both platforms can help you achieve that.

If you are serious about getting out of the rut of every day nine to five grind you can run your own business at home but you will be doing work. The only difference is you call the shots. That’s a good thing!

My score on Igloo.com is an 8. I would go higher but there wasn’t enough info to make a real informed decision without signing up with $87.00. I would want to know more about the training because that’s what you need to learn the business. A website is worthless unless you can learn how to market, do the SEO and all the other things that goes with running an affiliate marketing site.

With that said, I see no problem with checking it out. It’s a solid way to start building a new website. Just do your homework.

  1. You seem to have done a good research on this post before coming out here because the content you have here is very lengthy and is packed with a whole lot of information too. I’m happy to be able to read this and digest it too. I think igloo is good and I should give it a try and see how even I am able to  learn all about building my own website.

  2. I have heard good comments in forums about Igloo, but I see there is not much information on their site about their training and to learn more I have to pay $87.00 and it doesn’t seem fair to me. I have also heard good comments about this other platform you also mentioned on this post. The training seems to be good and it’s free to join. I’ll join them instead. Thanks!

    1. Thanks for the comment. Yea, 37 smacks seems a bit rough but I guess it all depends on whether or not people could use it. Wealthy Affiliate has worked for me for almost 5 years. A lot of work but it pays off if you stick it out. Thanks for the comment!

  3. Good article, Igloo seems like a good choice for beginners. I learned to use WordPress myself, but when it comes to code I run away. Tools like igloo are essential for all those who have a minimum desire to get involved in the game without wanting to deal with CSS or HTML.
