Social Searcher is an app that works somewhat like another social program app that I recently reviewed. What does it do? You may have heard of “mentions” when checking out some social sharing apps. Mentions is when you comment on a post let’s say on Twitter. Once you comment, the app with connect with your Twitter account and you can see what you wrote, what others are saying about your business and basically keep up to date as to what’s going on with your social sharing account.
While I like Crowdfire and what it does with organizing all of your social share apps, the difference is Social Searcher is free. While Crowdfire is free to check out, the only way you can continue to monitor mentions is by upgrading. You can stay a free member but that only gives you limited mentions.
Social Searcher is a pretty simple looking app, I don’t see anything crazy fancy about it. It’s simple and straight forward. It has a good feature of allowing you to connect different social apps too.
Connect With Tons Of Share Apps
Here is what I like about Social Searcher. If I go to the Share page and search with an alphabet soup format, I can come up with apps I have never heard of. Simply type the letter B and here is what comes up. The app gives me a list of 17 social share icons. Click on the icon and you’re instantly connected to the service where you can sign up or login. I don’t think I have ever seen something so simple.
Now if I go back to the Mentions section of the platform I can get access to all the latest mentions on Facebook, Twitter, whatever. I am only using a free account so that account allows up to 100 real time searches per day with 2 email alerts. Not bad for a free account. And with the free account you get 14 days off access. The pricing for upgraded memberships is in Euro bucks so it translates to about $5.00 U.S. Again, not a bad deal to be able to check the latest tweets and twits on your social platforms.
Is Social Searcher The Best For Connecting Your Accounts?
If you have a tough time keeping up with all of your social share apps, then yes. I don’t see what else it does except possibly allow you to blast out your posts in mentions somewhat like you can do on Twitter.
But, here it’s all in one place. Let’s say you want to post something on all of your platforms that you just have to get out like your dog talking or Grandma’s new special dinner, idk. Well, you don’t have to go back and forth to your accounts, Social Searcher has them all right at the click of your mouse. So, yea, it’s pretty cool if that’s what you’re needing.
On the flip side if you’re just posting to your Twitter account a couple times a day and then to Facebook once, then I don’t think this is needed app.
Regardless of whether you need it or not, it’s a cool app. It’s very organized and keeps things together as far as social sharing goes. I didn’t see the scheduling I saw on other apps but since it’s free and the upgraded membership is only $5.00 a month, you can’t go wrong because it can save you some serious time if you’re running a business.
With the paid membership you also get email and social account monitoring so that’s a plus.
There’s probably a couple things I missed because I opted for a free account but overall Social Searcher looks like something worth trying if just to learn something. It’s not complicated and you can get instant access to share apps you have never heard of and connect with the world even more to the point of no return I would think. This has a ton of social share apps that come up with a simple search. Check it out. It may help you.
