The Wealthy Affiliate. Sounds a bit strange to me, like I don’t know if it sounds legit or an overinflated opportunity. Have you checked this company out and what did you find out? If you haven’t heard of this company and want to know what is the Wealthy Affiliate for or about then you came to the right place.
What is the Wealthy Affiliate?
Put the simplest way I can possibly put it, the Wealthy Affiliate is an online training university that teaches entrepreneurs to create a successful affiliate marketing website. But, is that all there is to it? Kind of but to understand what it really is you need to dive a little deeper and understand what affiliate marketing is.
Affiliate marketing is basically using products from companies and promoting them using links or banners in blogs on websites. That’s the simplest explanation I can think of.
But who is this Wealthy Affiliate for? After being a member for almost 3 years I can tell you that the platform and learning center of this company is really for anyone who is looking to start their own business as an affiliate marketer.
Does it work? It does if you learn how to use the training to your advantage, build a website that people visit and offer something they need. Sounds easy but is it really?
First off, in my years of working and living I have learned that anything worthwhile will take effort and consistency. Without those two traits, nothing ever works. And unless you come from a rich family then you will more than likely end up working a blue collar job, join the military or live at home until you find something that clicks.
But times have changed and the work smarter not harder approach is the norm now.
And that can be tricky especially if you were taught to work hard and you will see success.
Affiliate marketing is a thinking persons job. It’s much more than writing blogs and throwing links to a product. You need to learn the market, what’s in demand and how to fufill that demand. And you have to be consistent in everything you do.
Is it hard to learn affiliate marketing? Not if you use a platform like the Wealthy Affiliate and actually take it serious. By this I mean put the time and effort in and stay consistent. Build a website that people will find helpful and then yes, you can become successful.
What is the Wealthy Affiliate for or about? It’s about learning affiliate marketing and it’s for anyone at any age who wants to work for themselves. Is it hard to learn? No, not if you pay attention to the learning process.
Because it works and I am living proof. Take for example this website here. This is not really a niche website. It’s an affiliate marketing website that promotes Wealthy Affiliate. But you can create any niche site you choose with the platform and use the keyword tool, website builder and hosting all on the Wealthy Affiliate website. It’s all inclusive. Take a look below at the training modules offered.
If you follow all of the modules, learning the affiliate marketing techniques are easy. And look to the left in the menu. There you have the options to open up your website and work on it in either the site content manager or on the Word Press platform. You can also use the research tab which brings up the Jaxxy Keyword tool which helps you find keywords and keyword phrases for your blogs to put on your site.
The live chat option instantly brings up the chat feature where other members are 24/7 and who can help newbies with questions and answers to them. Live events gives you access to live and archived videos on virtually anything related to affiliate marketing produced by Jay, the video guy who has been with Wealthy Affiliate for ten years.
And the main reason I recommend this platform is the ease of use and the helpfulness of the community. I will admit it takes work to build a successful website but every single tool you need to accomplish this is on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.
Making money can be done a number of ways. You can promote the platform like I do and get referrals. Like I show below.
Or you can build a niche website like many do promoting products from Amazon or Clickbank or any links you can find from other smaller companies. Take for instance a company that sells football jerseys. You can simply find a company that offers these to the public and then build a website and promote the product with affiliate links. Take a look at an example company I found through a quick search for football jerseys.
If I scroll down on the first page and look for the word “Affiliate” in the footer section I can see that they do have an option for affiliate members. See below.
From the affiliate option you would sign up and get access to your own affiliate link, promote that in your blogs you write on football jerseys and presto, you’re on your way to becoming an affiliate marketer. Sure, there’s more to it than just that but this would be the general idea. To fully learn the industry I recommend going through affiliate marketing training. It will make your journey much more enjoyable.
I’ll admit the Wealthy Affiliate probably isn’t for everyone. It takes work. There’s nobody over your shoulder telling you what to do. There is no immediate gratification and a flow of cash the first month. There’s no guarantee you will be successful at affiliate marketing even if you do everything right. In fact many people do fail. But the ones who stick it out and believe in themselves can and do become successful and earn some pretty good money.
And that spells security in insecure times. But you have to build it, promote it and believe in yourself. Keep writing in your niche even when you don’t feel like it. Learn all you can about affiliate marketing and don’t ever give up on yourself. If I could do it you can do it. It’s up to you but I can say that I have met a lot of people on the Wealthy Affiliate who have become successful through hard work and determination. It is possible, you just have to try.
